Drunkling Sizzlers

Drunkling Sizzlers is one of a kind place that provides a complete package of the goodies that one looks for, at a restaurant. Located on a stand alone building on the main road amongst the hustle bustle of Kormangala 5th block, it looks pretty plain from outside. However, this place has sections divided for everything. The ground floor and first floor is for casual dining, the next floor has a proper pub decor and the floor above has a dance floor. Thus it furnishes dining for all sects of people. The restaurant provides valet parking which makes life easy at such a location.

Visiting Drunkling last week was a great surprise for me. I was surprised to find more than twenty foodie buddies who had all gathered here along with their friends. It is absolutely bliss to find so many like-minded or rather like tongued people  under one roof! The Euphoria reached its peak when the restaurant management hosted a couple of contests and gave out goodies to the deserved. It was one of a kind meetup that rarely happens.

Though the seating area appeared small, but more than 50 people were sitting on the first floor dining area. The lighting was dim and the decor was pretty casual with wooden tables and rustic walls. The waiters and restaurant management had gone an extra mile to reach out to each and every person and note their preferences. It is not an easy job to host so many people at the same time. And it’s no less a mammoth task to handle orders for 50 odd people, all of which are ultimate foodies!

Coming to the food now. The menu looked very crisp and neat with a good coverage of continental dishes. However I felt that they can have some more variety in starters.

Beverages:
  • There was choice of cocktails and mocktails. Sangria was their speciality with loads to apple pieces topped. Virgin Mojito was also a hit amongst the folks.

Starters:
  • Lehsooni Chicken Kebab: This one was a super awesome preparation and a must try dish here. Cooked to perfection with the right amount of spices and marination.
  • Popcorn Agilo Olio: This was a good one with a fancy name. Its actually cheesy popcorn tossed with olive oil, garlic and mixed herbs. A good one to munch along.
  • Achari Pineapple: It was grilled pineapple coated with chilli powder and other spices. It was a bit too hot for me.
  • Chicken Bruschetta: Tiny bruschetta breads topped with minced chicken and cheddar cheese.
  • Paneer Sholay: excellent preparation. The paneer was soft and no juices lost and the marination was superb.
  • Peri Peri chicken- Very nice preparation, peri peri flavour and spices were dominant.

Main Course:
  • Fiery Chicken Pizza: Packed with loads of small bits of smoked chicken, onions, tomatoes and cheese this pizza is a treat. It had a thin crust hence doesn’t make you feel heavy.
  • Drunkling special Sizzler: Being a sizzler joint, this place can boast about this one.  Absolutely amazing, sizzled for an exceptionally long time. It was on a noodle base. The chicken, veggies and mashed potatoes had been done to perfection. This sizzler is a must try at Drunkling.

Dessert:
  • Chocolate Brownie: The brownie turned out to be a bit dry. It was topped with vanilla ice-cream. I wished it was served on a sizzler place with hot chocolate sauce!
  • Caramel Custard: Fantastic it was and prepared to perfection. A great way to end the meal.

Upon glancing at the rate card I found that the food will not burn a hole in your pockets. Service was good considering the volume of customers.
Overall we had a great time. We ate, chattered, laughed, played, pulled legs and enjoyed to the fullest. The very renowned and creative- Mr Dominic Savio had been an exceptional host. Would love to visit again!
